Travis Mutyaba, Zamalek learn Confederation Cup quarterfinal opponents

Uganda Cranes midfield prodigy Travis Mutyaba and his side Zamalek SC have been drawn to fellow Egyptian outfit Future FC in the quarterfinals of the 2023/24 CAF  Confederation Cup.

This was after the Confederation Cup quarterfinal draw that was held in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday.

Mutyaba joined Zamalek in January and has already featured once for the team, which came against Libya's Abu Salim in the group stages of the same competition.

To make the Confederation Cup quarters, Zamalek topped Group B with 12 points ahead of runners-up Abu Salim, who accumulated nine.

Meanwhile, in the Egyptian Premier League, Zamalek occupies 13th on the log with 15 points, while Future FC, who have played three games more, are 11th with 17.

Should they negotiate past Future, Mutyaba and Mutyaba will face the winner between Stade Malien and Dreams FC in the semifinals.
