Uganda Hippos ‘Messi’ leaves for the USA

Reports indicate that Uganda Under-20 national team striker Emmanuel Mukisa has left for the United States of America.

The youngster, christened ‘Messi’ by his peers, left the country earlier in the week to go for studies, where he is also expected to further his football career.

Until his departure, Mukisa has been in the books of FUFA Big League side Kataka FC after graduating from the Amus College ranks.

He has also been an instrumental striker for the Bugisu Province in the FUFA Drum, scoring in the 1-all draw against Busoga in their last outing in Kamuli.

Mukisa was part of the Uganda Hippos team that reached the quarterfinals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

He joins a bulging list of players who have left the Mbale side during this transfer window.

Others include goalkeeper Edward Kasibante, Edmond otim and Derrick Onyai, who have joined Police.
