USPA GALA - Winnie Nwagi, Janzi Band to serve vocals to athletes

Celebrated vocalist and songbird Winnie Nakanwagi alias Winnie Nwagi, along with sound gems Janzi Band, will grace the Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) awards dubbed the Nile Special USPA Gala. 

The annual ceremony, held to celebrate excelling sports athletes, is slated for Saturday at the Imperial Royal Hotel, Kampala.

Nwagi and Janzi will entertain the guests with their respective unmatched live performances in what promises a colourful event.

Nwagi has recently become a regular fixture in corporate events and has performed at the Bank of Uganda and MTN Staff parties.

The same can be said of Janzi Band, who have built a reputation for performing in elite events and ceremonies.

Unlike the past, the 2023 USPA Awards gala will recognize greatness for the past two years(2021 and 2022) when they were not held.

Despite awarding different accolades in various sports disciplines, Joshua Cheptegei is the previous USPA Sports Personality of the Year winner.
