UWCL: Nigeria's Nnadozie gets tough draw as Paris FC draw Wolfsburg, Man United face PSG
Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie and her French team, Paris FC, are gearing up for another challenging journey in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, UWCL.
Paris have been drawn to go head-to-head with former UWCL champions VFL Wolfsburg in the next phase of the qualifiers.
The draw, which took place in Nyon, has set the stage for what promises to be a final round of the qualifiers to determine who makes it to the group stages.
Nnadozie and Paris
The 22-year-old goalkeeper proved decisive as Paris shocked English side Arsenal in the first round of the UWCL qualifiers.
Arsenal were the favourites to progress but Super Falcons number one, Nnadozie, delivered a heroic display as Paris knocked out the Gunners through a penalty shootout.
She made two saves in the shootout to help Paris book a spot in round two with a 4-2 win after the game ended 3-3 after extra time.
UWCL draw - Paris get Wolfsburg
In the draw as monitored by Pulse Sports Nigeria, Nnadozie’s Paris were handed a difficult clash against two-time former champions, Wolfsburg.
Paris and Wolfsburg were pitted against each other from the League path, with the French side to host the Germans, who reached the final last season on the week of October 10 and 11.
Other draws
Elsewhere, English side Manchester United will continue their journey to reach the group stages for the first time with a big clash against another French side, Paris Saint-Germain, PSG.
