After two consecutive draws saw their lead at the top of the table shrink to just two points, the Venoms are desperate to get back to winning form.

The team's last league match was a frustrating stalemate against NEC at home, and another dropped result could see them lose their top spot.

Second-place Kitara FC plays Entebbe UPPC earlier in the day, meaning Vipers could kick off their evening match having already been knocked off the summit, adding to the pressure.

In the reverse fixture, Vipers edged out Lugazi 2-1 in Najjembe, with goals from Yunus Sentamu and Usama Arafat securing the win. Ashraf Mulindi scored the consolation goal for Lugazi, nicknamed 'The Leaders'.

However, Lugazi will arrive at Kitende full of confidence. They are coming off a Uganda Cup victory over Police FC, which followed a league win against UPDF. That result lifted them to 10th place in the standings with 18 points.

In other games scheduled for Tuesday, BUL FC will travel to face Police at Kiira Road, while NEC is set to host UPDF at Lugogo.
