Watch: Rickman Manrick - Devoted KCCA fan beaten to pulp in bar brawl

Staunch KCCA FC fan and musician Derrick Ddungu alias Rickman Manrick is nursing wounds after getting badly beaten in a bar scuffle involving fellow artist Deus Ndugwa, also known as Grenade Official.

Following the scrimmage, Rickman was hospitalised with a sore wound after a cut on his mouth.

According to his girlfriend, Sheilah Gashumba, Grenade attacked Rickman and hit him with a glass, before the latter sped away on a motorcycle.

Over the years, Rickman has built himself a reputation as one of the most humble musicians in the music industry. He is a regular fixture at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, supporting the 'Kasasiro Boys'.

Over the recent years, he has openly confessed his love for KCCA, shared light moments, and trained with the team.

Rickman's father, Patrick Kabuye, is also a former KCCA player, who featured for the club.

Before active involvement in music, Rickman was a footballer who featured for Kampala Junior Team, Swedish sides Dalen KFF, Gunnilse IS and Savedalen IF.

His career in the game was cut short by injury, as he suffered knee injuries that included the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and the meniscus in 2016 and 2018, respectively.

He has however managed multiple hit singles in his musical career, including Bango, Beautiful Mami, Ayizulu, Cinderella and many more, asserting himself as a stalwart in the business.
