In one particular interview with TODAY, a media house in the United States of America, Richardson has come out to say that she was forced into it.

In the interview, one could see that she was unsettled and seemed disinterred in answering the questions. Citing the interview back in 2021, Richardson posted on her Twitter account saying: “I’ll never forget, I was forced to do this interview. One day I’ll tell my TRUE story.”

Richardson has since come back into competition and is doing well. She is currently the second fastest 100m woman in the world so far this year.

She has also been to two Diamond League Meetings where she managed to reign supreme in both. She started with the Diamond League Meeting in Doha, Qatar where she won the race in 10.76.

She then proceeded to the Diamond League Meeting in Poland where she also reigned supreme. She clocked 10.76 to win the women’s 100m.

As she heads to the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, she will be one of the favourites to win a medal and will pose a threat to five-time World champion Shelly-Anne Fraser-Pryce who has been battling an injury.
