Manchester City needed three second-half goals from Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, and Julian Alvarez to claw back a 2-goal deficit and maintain their 100% record in this year’s UEFA Champions League.

Guardiola expressed satisfaction that his team completed the group stage with a game to spare. However, he cautioned the players against repeating the mistakes that led to falling behind during the match.

“If you talk about qualification, then it's a great night. 15 [points] from 15,” he said.

“If you talk about the game, we could do better, sloppy goals. In football, you have to win duels and it was quite similar against Chelsea. We were solid and now we are not.

“The first half was not [good] even some moments in the second half. There are moments you have to be better. We will learn hopefully.”
