The deal should have been announced already, but the interest from Rwandan outfit AS Kigali in the player is still holding it.

AS Kigali made their intentions of taking Aheebwa to Rwanda clear, and Pulse Sports understands that the player is now caught up between a rock and a hard place.

Kitara’s new head coach Brian Ssenyondo is not only the 25-year-old’s former coach at Mbarara City FC but also a close friend.

Ssenyondo is pushing hard to take the player to the Hoima-based club and is looking forward to rebuilding his career after a difficult time at Lugogo.

Kigali provides a better monetary offer to the player than Kitara, but the latter could provide a better platform for Aheebwa to revive his career.
