With her remarkable talent and determination, she has established herself as a top contender in the world of athletics, collecting major medals and victories at a young age.

Faith Cherotich's career has been on a steep upward trajectory. She first gained international attention by winning a bronze medal at the 2021 World Athletics U20 Championships in Nairobi, Kenya.

A year later, she upgraded her performance by claiming the gold medal at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships in Cali, Colombia, solidifying her status as a future star.

Her success continued into the senior ranks with a bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, followed by another bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

As Faith Cherotich looks to the future, particularly the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, she faces a strong field of competitors.

Her main rival is undoubtedly Winfred Yavi of Bahrain, the reigning Olympic and World champion. Their rivalry has become a defining storyline of this season, with Faith Cherotich often outkicking Winfred Yavi in Diamond League races, though Winfred Yavi managed to get the better of her in Eugene, setting a world-leading time.

Other athletes she will be battling for the top spot include Peruth Chemutai, the 2020 Olympic champion and 2024 Olympic silver medalist, Sembo Almayew, Norah Jeruto, the 2022 World champion and Marwa Bouzayani.
