Aliro's individual performance on the day wasn’t just impressive, it was a glimpse into what he can offer the sending a resounding message about the club's ambitions for the season ahead.

“Scoring the brace gives me a lot of confidence to push on,” he told media after the game, adding; “I feel so great personally that I have scored the goals that have helped us win the game,”

“This is a big club, and as I have said before, it is a privilege for me to play for it, and hopefully we can achieve a lot together and build on this,” he added.

Coming off the back foot, URA FC initially struggled as they conceded an early goal. Bright Stars' Nordin Bunjo capitalized on an Ashraf Mulindi’s low cross to put his side ahead after just five minutes.

However, the atmosphere shifted when Aliro, who was among eight debutants for Sam Timbe’s side on the day, took center stage.

He netted the equalizer at the 39th-minute mark, running onto a through ball from joseph Semujju and outsmarting the advancing Emmanuel Were to make it 1-1 as both teams headed into halftime.

Reflecting on his performance and the team's comeback, Aliro stated, “It gets hard once you go behind, but as a team, if you could see how we are, we are still gelling together because there are a lot of new players on the team.”

Nevertheless, his confidence never wavered, even when they were trailing. He added, “But as a team, we have a lot of quality, and when we fell behind, I looked around the pitch and we had a lot of quality.”

“So, I remained confident that we could push on and get back into the game, so it is important that we managed to get back,” he continued.

The second half saw a determined URA FC side, launching multiple assaults on the Bright Stars’ goal.

Their efforts were rewarded in the 78th minute when Aliro found the net once more, making it 2-1 and solidifying his debut as one to remember.
