Former KCCA FC attacking midfielder Allan Okello is moments away from joining Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC, Pulse Sports understands.

The Uganda Cranes star has reportedly met with Vipers Director, Lawrence Mulindwa on Thursday over a move and details emerging from Kitende intimate it's all but done.

Okello only recently parted ways Algerian side Paradou AC on mutual consent, but he's now set to sign for two years at Vipers.

Okello joined Paradou in 2020 on a long-term four-year contract from KCCA, but spent last season at the latter on loan.

He also clinched two Uganda Cups in the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons as well as the 2018 FUFA Super 8 Cup and the 2018/19 CECAFA Kagame Cup.

After the departure of Brazilians Giancarlo Lopez Rodriguez and Luiz Otavio Santos de Araujo alias Tinga, the Venoms have so far made six signings including David Bagoole, Grant Matsiko and Richard Matovu.

Midfielder Patrick Mbowa, forwards Fumador Asiwome and Mohamed Salem Ekbad have also joined the Kitende based side.
