Bbosa confirmed that he was leaving the Jinja based club, after a season that did not deliver as anticipated, with the Soldier Boys finishing 11th in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Wasswa Bbosa has disclosed that he is willing to spend time away from football management, if he fails to find the right job, after leaving Gadaffi FC.

Bbosa confirmed that he was leaving the Jinja based club, after a season that did not deliver as anticipated, with the Soldier Boys finishing 11th in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Speaking to Pulse Sports, Bbosa said that his time at Gadaffi has been draining both physically and mentally as the club failed to deliver on much of their promises.

Bbosa insists that he is going to use his time away from active management to focus on developing and advancing his knowledge, adding that the period can go as far as February 2024, when he expects to enroll for a coaching course.

“I have been drained with the situation at Gadaffi. I was only working to survive. They did not meet anything that they promised at the start,” Bbosa said.

“I am not falling for another poor contract again, so I am now looking at going back to school and add to my coaching papers.”

“But if I find another team and we agree on what I want, I will join it while I wait for the February course next year,” he added.

Reports have linked Bbosa to a return to Express FC, but it looks like the club will offer head coach a new contract rather than bring back Bbosa who guided them to their seventh league title in 2021.

Odoch was Bbosa’s assistant then, with the two guding the club to a league and CECAFA Kagame Cup double.
