Soltilo Bright Stars FC will have an almost impossible mission to overcome a first leg 4-0 deficit against Vipers SC, to make the final of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Bright Anukani's brace and one goal each from Milton Karisa and Yunus Sentamu induced the semi-final damage to the Kavumba outfit, at the St Mary's Stadium, Kitende over ten days back.

And, Bright Stars' head coach Asaph Mwebaze, who conceded it will be difficult to ease through, banked on an early goal to try and pull something out of the Tuesday second leg at Kavumba Recreation Grounds.

"It's a big task for us, we have to overcome a four-goal deficit, but it's a possibility because we have 90 minutes to play," he said to the media on Monday.

"You never know what happens. We have to go with a positive mind and see what we can do in the game,* he added.

"We have to remain positive and maybe get an early goal and see what happens. If you score an early goal, it causes disbelief in the opponent and fear," Mwebaze noted.

"We need to go out there and attack and see if we can get the early goal because this reduces the four-goal burden."

"It will also push us to try and see if we can score another. Like i said, one goal for Bright Stars and this game can turn out differently."

Meanwhile, Vipers are looking for their first ever domestic double, after clinching the Uganda Premier League on Saturday.

They are also aiming at making the third Cup final in as many years. The Venoms have won and lost one apiece in the past two seasons.

Overall, the Venoms have two Uganda Cups while Bright Stars are looking for their first.

The victor on aggregate after two legs will meet Police FC, who eliminated Adjumani TC, with the final set for the Akii-Bua Memorial Stadium in Lira.
