The Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie has been reportedly said to have given the green light for a move away from Camp Nou but his agent had denied those reports.

Kessie signed for Barcelona last summer from AC Milan on a free transfer and failed to make an impact in his first season.

The Ivorian has not seen enough playing time under Xavi which has led to recent transfer speculation regarding his future.

His agent has come out to debunk any reported news claiming his client has given the green light to leave Barcelona.

Kessie agent denies transfer

Franck Kessi has been linked with a move away from Barcelona after it was claimed that he has agreed to a transfer according to reports.

On Twitter, Fabrizio Romano reports that Franck Kessie's agent publicly referred to the information regarding his client giving the go-ahead to leave Barça as "false news."

He also said that the Player’s camp position has not changed as of today which means he will be a Barcelona player.

The 30-year-old is expected to stay in Barcelona after his agent ruled out reports claiming he will leave in the summer.

Barcelona receive LaLiga greenlight

In order to break even and complete signings for the upcoming season, LaLiga has provided Barcelona with an update on their plans.

The Blaugrana were informed that if they did not recover a sum of between €200 and €250 million, they would not be permitted to sign new players in the summer transfer window.

They were even prevented from registering the extensions of players like Gavi, Marcos Alonso, and Ronald Araujo, despite having reached agreements with the players.

Barcelona now believes that they are on the path to meeting LaLiga's requirements with the departure of players like Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, who were big earners at the club, and the league's approval of their feasibility plan confirms that view.
