The Kenyan international has linked up with Buja Queens while her parent club remains silent on release status.

A veil of mystery hangs over the recent training sessions of Harambee Starlets' talented midfielder, Corazone Aquino, with Burundian side Buja Queens as she prepares for the upcoming CAF Women's Football Champions League Zonal qualifications.

Aquino, who currently plays for Simba Queens, joined the Tanzanian club in 2022 after departing from Gaspo Women.

However, her temporary move to Buja Queens has raised questions about the circumstances surrounding her transfer.

Simba Queens, Aquino's parent club, has yet to officially announce her release or clarify whether this is a loan move.

Despite attempts to reach out to Simba Queens manager Selemani Makanya for comment, all efforts have gone unanswered, leaving fans and pundits alike pondering the enigma that surrounds this intriguing situation.

Aquino's career has seen her traverse different continents, including stints playing in Europe, showcasing her exceptional talent on the international stage.

Her performances have made her a mainstay in the senior women's national team, the Harambee Starlets, earning her the respect and admiration of fans worldwide.

Buja Queens find themselves in Group A, alongside strong contenders such as Uganda's Kampala Queens, C.B.E FC from Ethiopia, F.A.D FC from Djibouti, and Yei Joints FC from South Sudan.

The qualifying tournament, scheduled to take place from August 12th to August 24th, 2023, in Uganda, carries significant importance as the winner will earn the opportunity to represent the CECAFA region in the prestigious CAF Women's Champions League.

While the focus should ideally be on the upcoming tournament, the enigmatic circumstances surrounding Aquino's presence at Buja Queens have undoubtedly added an intriguing twist to the narrative.

Speculation and theories abound as fans and pundits attempt to decipher the true intentions behind her temporary move.

Could it be a strategic decision by Simba Queens to sharpen Aquino's skills or perhaps a deeper underlying motive that has yet to come to light?

As the countdown to the CAF Women's Football Champions League Zonal qualifications begins, all eyes will be on Aquino, both on and off the field.
