Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes Mauricio Pochettino deserves to win the next seven matches after a five-star performance from his Gunners.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed sympathy for his Chelsea counterpart Mauricio Pochettino following the Gunners' 5-0 victory in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that Arteta's side moved three points clear at the top of the table with a convincing victory at the Emirates Stadium.

Former Chelsea player Kai Havertz scored a brace, while Ben White and Leandro Trossard also found the net for the home team.

Despite the one-sided nature of the result, Arteta had kind words for his counterpart Pochettino, who is currently on the hot seat at the Blues.

"All the sympathy in the world in everything that Mauricio Pochettino has been through and is doing," Arteta said in his post-match comments per a post from Fabrizio Romano.

The Arsenal manager acknowledged that Pochettino's Chelsea side had been performing well, noting that the Argentine deserves to be rewarded for the hard work he has put in with the Blues.

"He's doing a good job. They deserved to win all their last 7 matches," Arteta added.

The comprehensive victory over their London rivals was a significant statement from Arsenal, who have now established a comfortable lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Trossard's opening goal set the tone for the Gunners, and Havertz's double, along with White's strikes, ensured a memorable evening for the home supporters.

The result will undoubtedly increase the pressure on Pochettino, who has been tasked with turning Chelsea's fortunes around since taking over in the summer.

However, Arteta's words of support for his counterpart suggest a level of respect and understanding between the two managers, despite the fierce rivalry between their clubs.
