Jurgen Klopp has responded to questions on Mikel Arteta's celebration following Arsenal's win over Liverpool a few weeks ago.

Klopp has emphasized that he doesn't monopolise fist-pump celebrations and dismisses any notion of over-celebration by Arteta.

The incident in question occurred after Arsenal's significant victory over Liverpool, where Arteta was seen engaging in a celebration resembling Klopp's trademark fist pumps.

This moment, caught on camera, sparked discussions among fans and the media alike. However, Klopp has dismissed any idea of Arteta trying to mock him.

Speaking ahead of the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea, he said as reported by Fabrizio on X, "You can make of my celebrations what you want. I heard the discussions, that Mikel Arteta over-celebrated the win against us. That definitely did not come from me".

He went further to add that he did not invent that particular celebration, "Everybody can do whatever. I didn’t invent fist-pumps and I don’t have the copyright on it, he said. 

Liverpool prepare to win first trophy this season

The Carabao Cup final on February 25, 2024, features Chelsea and Liverpool clash at Wembley Stadium. With a 4 pm GMT kickoff, both teams aim to secure early silverware.
