What Yamal said
The former Las Palmas midfielder scored the opener in Barcelona's 3-2 triumph over Real Madrid to win the Copa del Rey. The King's Cup is the first of three possible titles the Blaugrana can win this season; a number of their players are in contention for the Ballon d'Or.
Pedri is increasingly being named in the conversation, and lately, he was asked about it. He gave a candid response instead of a cliche one, revealing that he dreamt of winning the Ballon d'Or.
“Since Rodri won the Ballon d'Or, it has become clear that a player who controls the midfield and dictates the tempo of the game can win this award,” Pedri said. “It has always been my dream to win the Ballon d'Or, but right now my focus is on team trophies.”
Meanwhile, Barcelona will host Inter in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final clash on Sunday as they continue their hunt for a treble this season.
