With KCCA getting a bye from the first round, their first piece of action will be in the second and final round of the qualifiers.

Uganda’s KCCA FC will face Libyan side Abu Salem Sports Club in the final round of the CAF Champions League Preliminary round.

This was confirmed on Sunday following a goalless draw with Olympique de Beja.

The Libyans defeated de Beja 1-0 in the first leg played in Rades, Tunisia, to carry an advantage going into the return.

Aleiyman Abdulmunem scored from the penalty spot for Abu Salem in the first leg.

With KCCA getting a bye from the first round, their first piece of action will be in the second and final round of the qualifiers.

Abu Salem will host the first leg of the two-legged affair on September 15, while KCCA will host the second leg on September 29.

With Libyan teams unable to host games at home, the first leg is expected to be played in Cairo, Egypt.

Abu Salim Sports Club, commonly known as Abu Salim, is a professional football club based in Abu Salim, Tripoli, Libya.

Founded in 1976, the club has traditionally worn a yellow home kit since its inception.

The 2018–19 season was the first season for the club in the Premier League, the top tier in the Libyan football system since its inception in 1963.

The club qualified for this season’s CAF Confederation Cup after finishing fourth in the Libyan Premier League last season.
