On Sunday, Uganda Premier League table leaders BUL FC were again held to a 1-1 stalemate by newly promoted NEC FC at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

Abbey Kikomeko’s coached team maintained the top spot with 26 points, three points ahead of the defending champions Vipers SC, who have a game in hand.

On the other hand, a point enabled Hussein Mbalangu’s team to leapfrog Kitara FC in the third position with 20 points compared to the latter’s 19 points, who have played a game less.

Before the games against Arua Hill and Busoga United, URA and Wakiso Giants had lost 2-0 and drawn 2-2 against NEC and Arua Hill, respectively.

The Tax Collectors were strong enough to come from a goal down to thrash the Leopards 4-1 at Mehta Stadium in Lugazi thanks to Joseph Ssemujju’s hat trick in the 26th, 55th and 72nd minutes.
