Argentine superstar may have played his last game for Paris Saint-Germain following a recent dispute

Argentine forward Lionel Messi might have already played his last game for Paris Saint-Germain after reports suggested that the World Cup winner was unwilling to return to the club following his recent suspension and treatment from Les Parisiens’ fans.

Messi unlikely to return for PSG’s final games

Messi is currently serving a two-week suspension at PSG after an unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia to fulfil his obligations as a tourism ambassador to the country.

It is now being reported that the World Cup winner could forego the Ligue 1 matches after his return from suspension as he “doesn’t imagine himself returning to the Parc des Princes.”

There will be three Ligue 1 games left for PSG when Messi returns from suspension, and although head coach Christophe Galtier has already said he would be open to playing Messi in those games, he also noted that the decision to return or not still lay with the Argentine forward.

Messi nears PSG exit

If Messi does not play in PSG’s final Ligue 1 games, then the 3-1 loss to Lorient will most likely be the 35-year-old forward’s final game with PSG as he is set to leave the club when his current deal expires at the end of the season.

Tensions between Messi and PSG have hit record highs following the Argentine’s suspension and the constant jeers by the club’s Ultras.

It is believed that Messi will exit the club in the summer with a potential return to Barcelona on the cards or a move to Saudi Arabia also a possibility.
