Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has made a resounding announcement as they unveil Luis Enrique as their new head coach, marking an exciting new era for the prestigious French club.

The Spanish manager, renowned for his stellar career both as a player and a coach, has signed a two-year contract, and his arrival has already sparked anticipation among football enthusiasts worldwide.

"I'm delighted to be joining Paris in order to enjoy a new experience," expressed Enrique with enthusiasm. "It's so exciting to meet new people, to live in this city, to learn a new language and, above all, to manage PSG."

The 53-year-old gaffer brings a wealth of experience and a sterling reputation to his new role.

His journey in football began as a player at Sporting Gijón, where he showcased his versatility from 1989 to 1992 before moving to Real Madrid for four seasons.

However, it was at FC Barcelona that Enrique left an indelible mark, captivating fans with his skill and determination from 1996 to 2004.

After retiring as a player, Enrique seamlessly transitioned into management. He honed his skills as Barcelona's 'B' team coach from 2008 to 2011 before venturing abroad to AS Roma in 2011.

Following a stint at Celta Vigo, he returned to his beloved Barcelona in 2014 and led the team to an unprecedented treble during the 2014-2015 season, winning the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and the Copa del Rey.

Enrique's managerial success continued to flourish, earning him individual accolades such as the FIFA World Coach of the Year award in 2015.

His time with the Spanish national team, both from 2018 to 2019 and later from 2019 to 2022, showcased his ability to guide a squad to the semi-finals of EURO 2020 and the final of the UEFA Nations League in 2021.
