Firat is also not sure about Johnstone Omurwa while he is sweating on the fitness of Daniel Anyembe and Joseph Okumu, leaving him facing the prospect of fielding rookies in defence.
However, he will have to get his tactics and selection spot on against the Flames of Malawi who also won one and lost another of their two World Cup qualifiers in November.

Harambee Stars' preparations for Malawi tournament were disrupted on Wednesday leaving Coach Engin Firat fuming due to an unexpected late-night interruption at their camp.
Harambee Stars won the last meeting 1-0 in September 2018, coming after a barren draw in April 2017.
Three matches have ended in goalless draws, another 2-2, while Malawi won 3-0 in October 2005 before a 2-0 victory in November 2011.
Harambee Stars’ first win over the Flames was a 1-0 triumph in December 2012 before a similar result in Nairobi six year later.
