Kylian Mbappe tops the list of the 25 highest-earning European-based footballers, with the second highest earner Harry Kane earning three times less than the PSG man.

A recent report from L'Equipe has unveiled staggering figures regarding the salaries of Europe's top football players, with Kylian Mbappe emerging as the highest-paid player by a significant margin.

The 25-year-old French and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star, Mbappe, has been dominating headlines since his meteoric rise at PSG, where he arrived as an 18-year-old.

However, amid ongoing speculations about his future, Mbappe recently informed the club of his decision to depart when his contract expires this summer.

The revelation of Mbappe's salary is nothing short of astounding. According to L'Equipe, Mbappe earns a jaw-dropping €6 million (£5.15 million) each month, making him Europe's highest-paid footballer.

This figure dwarfs the earnings of his counterparts, with the report indicating that Mbappe earns more than twice the salary of the second-highest earner, Bayern Munich's Harry Kane.

L'Equipe's comprehensive list includes 25 players, shedding light on the top earners across Europe's top five leagues.

Notable inclusions besides Mbappe and Kane are Napoli's Victor Osimhen, ranking 16th with a monthly salary of €1.50 million (£1.29 million), and PSG's Ousmane Dembele, securing the 19th position with earnings of €1.12 million (£961,000) per month.

Furthermore, the report delves into individual league records, showcasing PSG's dominance in Ligue 1. Remarkably, PSG claims all top ten spots for the highest-paid players in France, underscoring the club's formidable financial stature.

In addition to Mbappe's astronomical earnings, the report highlights Bayern Munich and Germany stalwarts Manuel Neuer and Thomas Muller, who jointly occupy the 14th position among Europe's best-paid players, each earning €1.66 million (£1.42 million) monthly.

As Mbappe's contract saga unfolds and the footballing landscape continues to evolve, his unparalleled salary stands as a testament to his exceptional talent and market value, setting a new benchmark in the realm of football finances.
