Paris Saint Germain have confirmed that Lionel Messi will start against Ajaccio after a two-game suspension.

Lionel Messi was given a two weeks suspension after missing a scheduled training session for a trip with his family to Saudi Arabia without the consent of Christophe Galtier and the sporting director.

However, he was pictured on Monday training with his teammates after his suspension was lifted and is expected to start against Ajaccio on Saturday.

Christophe Galtier confirms Lionel Messi's resumption

PSG manager Christophe Galtier confirms that Messi will be available for the clash against Ajaccio during his press conference.

Speaking ahead of their clash against Ajaccio, Galtier said, “In terms of sanction as I said last week, nobody commented on it and I didn't comment on it. We were thrilled to welcome Messi back at the start of the week.

“He has trained all week, showing lots of desire, determination, and he wants to play for this team.”

The Argentine resumed training with the rest of the team on Monday and will be available for the game against relegation-threatening Ajaccio with the likes of Neymar expected to miss the game through injury.

Messi could move to Saudi Arabia

According to the most recent reports, Lionel Messi has been offered a huge contract by Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.

The 36-year-old has been linked to several clubs in Europe, Saudi Arabia and the USA after it was confirmed that he will leave PSG at the end of the season.

Barcelona has been a possible destination for Messi but due to their financial situation, the possibility is very slim. He has, however, been linked to a move to Saudi Arabia and Al-Hilal a possible destination.

El Chiringuito TV has reported that Messi will accept the new proposal tabled by Al-Hilal at the end of the season and join Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.
