Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah has returned to training after sustaining a hamstring injury while representing Egypt at AFCON 2023.

Salah suffered the injury during Egypt's second group game against Ghana and returned to England for treatment and rehabilitation with Liverpool.

Salah back in Liverpool training

Initial expectations were that Salah would be sidelined for a few weeks, potentially causing him to miss Liverpool's upcoming matches against Arsenal, Fulham, AFC Bournemouth, and Norwich City.

However, the 31-year-old has made an earlier-than-expected return to full training, raising the possibility of his availability for the upcoming fixtures.

Liverpool have got on just well without their top scorer winning 4 of their 5 games in his absence but Salah is hugely crucial to the club's chances of holding off Manchester City and winning a second Premier League title in 5 years.
