Appiah who was voted as a delegate from Asante Kotoko was confirmed on the country’s top footballing during the 2023 GFA Extraordinary Congress held in Tamale on Thursday.
Former Black Stars and newly appointed Sudan coach, Kwasi Appiah has been voted onto the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Appiah who was voted as a delegate from Asante Kotoko was confirmed on the country’s top footballing during the 2023 GFA Extraordinary Congress held in Tamale on Thursday.

Kwasi Appiah polled ten votes from the 18 Ghana Premier League votes to secure his seat and will serve under Kurt Okraku who retained his seat as the president of the GFA.
Okraku garnered the majority of YES votes, with a staggering 117 out of 119 delegates supporting his bid for a second term.
Okraku said his association was ready to listen and that he together with his Executive Council (EXCO) could not do everything alone.

Appiah's mission will be to harness Sudan's footballing talent and guide the Nile Crocodile team to new heights on the continental and international stages.
"I keep saying that the road ahead of us will never be easy and will never be smooth but we will get there,” he told delegates.
“That is why I call on all of us, just like I said in Kumasi, to come together, stay together. Because the leadership of your FA is ready to listen to the other man. We will listen to decerning voices."
“So let go of the past and open a new chapter of developing our game, a new chapter of bringing love to our game.”
“A new chapter, a new chapter of ensuring that we spread our hands around our shoulders and say 'Medeama, we are one'," he added.

FOOTBALL Morley Byekwaso to handle Cranes
SC Villa assistant coach Morley Byekwaso has been named as Uganda Cranes' interim head coach ahead of the FIFA international Break.
His re-election continues a tenure that began in October 2019, following a victory over George Afriyie.
Kurt took over the helm from Kwesi Nyantakyi, a figure entangled in controversy after allegations of corruption became public.
The new GFA administration will serve a four-year term, expiring in 2027.
The elecItion was certified by nternational football governing body FIFA, who were represented by Gelson Fernandes, Director of Member Associations for Africa.
