What Aybaba said

The 26-year-old extended his lead (24) at the top of the Super Lig top scorers table with his brace against Sivasspor, and the plaudits rolled in as usual.

Aybaba, who has repeatedly praised Nigeria, spoke to the Nigerians' rousing influence on the Galatasaray team. He believes Osimhen's influence is replicable at top clubs and said that other top strikers in the league, like Immobile and Icardi, are incapable of raising the ceiling of a team like Osimhen's.

Osimhen continued his fine form.

"I had met Osimhen. I had met him. He was very impressed by his meeting with Okan Buruk,” Aybaba said, per GsGazette. “He felt as if he had been playing for Galatasaray for 10 years.

“Take Osimhen out of the Galatasaray team. The strength of the squad will decrease a lot. It won't work with just Barış Alper and Morata. Put such a forward and let him play in Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona.

“34-year-old Immobile in our Beşiktaş receives a salary of 10 million Euros. He doesn't play as well as Osimhen. Football is such a sport. Osimhen came, we forgot Icardi's name. Moreover, he is a player with character.

“He gets along well with children. In my eyes, he can make 10 Icardis. He is better than Icardi in terms of private life and discipline. He was offered to Fenerbahçe at the time, but they rejected him. The one who rejected him was Acun Ilıcalı."
