Raja Casablanca confirmed that their fan died during the fracas on Saturday during their CAF Champions League match with Al Ahly.

Raja Casablanca has confirmed that a female supporter was killed before their CAF Champions League quarterfinal clash against Al Ahly from Egypt.

The match that ended goalless witnessed ugly events as thousands of fans tried to access the venue of the match at the Mohammed V stadium in Casablanca.

“With great sadness and sorrow, …we extend our sincere condolences and great sympathy to the beloved family to the hearts of everyone, the encouraging Nora Al-Zubairi, who left us before our match against Al-Ahly.

“And as we console her family and loved ones and the entire hopeful family, we hope that God will inspire everyone to patience and solace, and we plead with Him Almighty to have mercy on the deceased and forgive her and make her resting place in Paradise. “We belong to God and to Him we shall return”, the club noted.

CAF has already opened proceedings on the matter as well as the chaotic scenes witnessed in Tunisia as Esperance took on JS Kabyliefrom Algeria on Saturday.
