Silver Striker claim the 24-year-old forward is their player.

Malawi Super League outfit Silver Strikers are set to initiate legal action against Clyde Senaji’s teammate at Nyasa Big Bullets, Hassan Kajoke, for what they termed as double signing.

Silver Strikers claim that the striker had signed a three-year contract in January 2023 after his alleged contract with Big Bullets ended.

But Bullets claimed the player's contract at the club was still running and was due to expire on 31 March 2023 and not on 31 December 2022 as claimed by Silver Strikers, which has since been extended for three more years.

In a statement published on the club's website on Friday, Strikers informed the public that they had hired lawyers to petition the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) requesting Kajoke be punished.

“The lawyers have petitioned FAM asking them to expel Hassan Kajoke on the ground of theft, fraud, deceit, dishonesty and bringing the game of football in Malawi into disrepute,” reads part of the statement.

“This conduct is unacceptable in football and is a violation of FIFA and FAM rules. Lawyers of Silvers Strikers have demanded that Hassan Kajoke and his manager should be expelled from participating in any football matters in Malawi.

Hassan Kajoke should also refund the signing-on fees and upkeep allowances he got from Silver Strikers. Lawyers have further warned that what Hassan Kajoke and his Manager did is theft and dishonestly which is punishable with a prison sentence under the law.”

Kajoke scored more than 41 Malawi Super League goals since earning his promotion to the main team in 2018.

In his full debut season, he scored 17 league goals but lost the Golden Boot award to the then Central Bankers’ forward Khuda Myaba, who scored 21 league goals.
