Midfielders Lamine Camara and Pape Bamba Diop took home the Best Player of the tournament award and the golden boot, respectively, whilst custodian Landing Badji was named the tournament's best goalkeeper.

After clinching the 2023 U20 Africa Cup of Nations, their first in history, Senegal scooped all the major individual awards in Egypt.

Midfielders Lamine Camara and Pape Bamba Diop took home the Best Player of the tournament award and the golden boot, respectively, whilst custodian Landing Badji was named the tournament's best goalkeeper.

Camara was integral in Senegal's triumph scoring twice against Tunisia in the semifinals while he created a couple of chances.

Notably, the 19-year-old Metz FC midfielder in France was also part of the Senegal CHAN winning squad in Algeria.

The Zulte Waregem player Diop scored five goals, one against Mozambique, a hat trick against Egypt and one in the semifinal against Tunisia.

Meanwhile, Badji was exceptionally brilliant in the posts keeping six clean sheets given that Senegal won the title minus conceding a single goal.

Camara, Diop, and Badji were among the four Senegalese players named in the competition's Best XI; the other was defender Seydou Sano.

Senegal head coach Malick Daf was named the coach of the tournament, while the fair play award went to the record champions Nigeria.
