Following Yanga's 2-0 victory over Malian side Real de Bamako, the new Deputy Minister for Culture, Arts and Sports Hamisi Mwinjuma handed over the TZS 10M for both goals scored by Fiston Kalala Mayele and Jesus Moloko.

Both Yanga and Simba are enjoying every bit of representing Tanzania in the premium CAF interclub competitions.

With Simba playing in the CAF Champions League and Yanga in the Confederations cup, both sides were promised a cash bounty of five million Tanzanian Shillings (TZS 5M) for each goal scored by the Head of State Samia Suluhu Hassan.

Following Yanga's 2-0 victory over Malian side Real de Bamako, the new Deputy Minister for Culture, Arts and Sports Hamisi Mwinjuma handed over the TZS 10M for both goals scored by Fiston Kalala Mayele and Jesus Moloko.

The day before, Hamisi Mwinjuma had also delivered TZS 5M to Simba SC following their 1-0 win over Vipers SC and said it was a presidential motivation

“As the president promised, every goal scored by both Simba and Yanga on the continent will be rewarded with TZS 5M, and I am happy always to deliver the money to both teams because it's a motivation; we wish both clubs all the best in the next game,” Hamisi said.

The initiative is on the premise of motivating both clubs as they try to go as far as possible in the respective continental club competitions.

After four match days in the CAF Champions League, Simba revived their campaign after 1-0 back-to-back wins against Vipers.

Msimbazi now sits second on the log with six points, six behind table leaders Raja Casablanca who have won all their games so far.

Simba now must win against Horoya at home to seal a ticket to the knockout stages.

On the other hand, Young Africans have also to racked up two wins, a draw and a loss in as many games putting them in second position on seven points.

They are three behind table leaders Monastir and two ahead of third-placed TP Mazembe.

Both sides will return to continental action later this month; Simba faces Horoya on 18th March in a crucial game, while Young Africans host inform table leaders Monastir the next day.
