Simba faces Vipers SC in a crucial game on Tuesday in the CAF Champions League, while Young Africans in the CAF Confederations Cup face Malian side Real De Bamako on Wednesday.

Tanzanian traditional giants Simba SC and Young Africans are known for having legions of faithful fans who always turn up in numbers to support them.

Both sections of fans are also known for creating an intimidating atmosphere for visiting teams, especially when the game is crucial, as is the case now ahead of next week when they both will be in continental action.

Simba faces Vipers SC in a crucial game on Tuesday in the CAF Champions League, while Young Africans in the CAF Confederations Cup face Malian side Real De Bamako on Wednesday.

Both games will take place at the Benjamin Mkapa Sstadium hence the need to step up their bid to rally fans to come and support in large numbers.

Msimbazi has gone all out ahead of the Vipers game, selling subsidized group tickets targeting cooperate companies.

They’re also set to hold a beach party dubbed ‘Wenye bichi party’ on Sunday, March 5, aimed at selling match day tickets and merchandise ahead of the Vipers game on Tuesday, as Simba’s communications manager Ahmed Ally said.

“Sunday will be the ‘Wenye Bichi Party’, where we shall eat and drink and buy tickets and jerseys for the Vipers game.”

Khalid Aucho’s Yanga has organized a morning run around the busy streets of Dar-Es-Salaam starting from the club’s offices in Jangweni as they also rally their fans for their game against Real De Bamako on Wednesday, March 8, with the chief runner being the club president Engineer Hersi Saidi.

Simba’s Champions League campaign started on a losing note, but the 1-0 win in Kampala against Vipers was a massive boost; they must win on Tuesday to stay in contention for getting out of the group stages.

On the other end, Young Africans have done well; four points in three games means a win against Bamako puts them in a better position.

In a related development, Ugandan Premier League champions Vipers are expected to touch down in Dar-es-Salaam on Monday ahead of their Tuesday game against Simba.
