Victor Osimhen notched a new career high in the Super Lig triumph over Sivasspor.
Victor Osimhen scored a brace in Galatasaray’s triumph over Sivasspor, smashing his previous career high to set a new personal best.
The 26-year-old was denied a hat-trick by VAR as the Cim-Bom ran riot against Sivasspor to maintain their margin at the top of the table in their bid to lift the Turkiye Super Lig. Still, the brace was enough for Osimhen to eclipse his own high.

Osimhen sets new career height
Before the game against Sivasspor, 31 was the most goals Osimhen had scored in a single season. He first set the record in his best season in Naples, the 22/23 season, in which he led the Partenopei to their first league title in 33 years. In that season, he scored 26 in the league and five in the Champions League.
He matched it in the victory over Eyuspor last week, and against Sivasspor, he surpassed it, having now scored 33 goals for the Lions. 24 of those goals came in the Super Lig, seven in Europa League and three in the Turkiye Kupasi.
With five games left this season for the league leaders, including the Cup final against Trabzonspor, pushing the record further is highly probable. Osimhen has now scored in three consecutive games. If he continues on this trajectory, he is on course for a 40-goal season.
