Despite smiling to an invaluable 2-1 victory over Kitara FC on Thursday at the St Mary's Stadium, Kitende, Vipers SC were ill-struck by injuries to Siraje Ssentamu and Abdu Lumala.
Ssentamu didn't return after halftime after a collision with Solomon Okwalinga and was replaced by Allan Okello, who made an instant impact, assisting one of Bright Anukani's two goals.

On the other hand, Lumala was also involved in a nasty smash as he attempted to deny a Kitara goal in the 57th minute before getting withdrawn at the hour-mark.
"You're right," Vipers head coach Leo Neiva told the press when asked if Ssentamu and Lumala had suffered injuries, but he couldn't place a timeline.

"Siraje (Ssentamu) and Abdu Lumala have got injuries, but like I said before, Vipers have a strong squad," he reiterated.
