When asked to name the best dribbler in history, Rooney didn't hesitate, naming Lionel Messi as his top choice, over Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and others.
Interestingly, Rooney played alongside Ronaldo, an exceptional and skilled dribbler, during their successful time at Manchester United.

However, the former Everton man believes Messi is superior.
Rooney has long been a huge fan of the Argentine legend. In 2018, he praised Messi, saying:
"In my eyes, they [Barcelona] are the best team ever, and Messi is the best player ever. What he gets to do is incredible. Messi has just got a bit of everything."
