Barcelona forward Raphinha analysed their victory in LALIGA against Deportivo Alaves.
Barcelona forward and captain on the day, Raphinha, praised their ability to comeback after going behind against Alaves, insisting that they were yet to reach their best.
Raphinha returned to the starting line for the first time since September, when he hurt his hamstring in the LALIGA clash against Real Sociedad.
His return has been heralded as a path to improving Barcelona's defensive problems, as he leads the press in attack. Those analysis were proven accurate against Alaves, as he contributed defensively and created their first two goals.
What Raphinha said
Barcelona are celebrating their 128th anniversary today, and Raphinha noted that the victory was an incredible way to celebrate. He shared his excitement to return to Camp Nou, and praised their performance after going behind early into proceedings.
"A perfect afternoon with a victory and on the club's anniversary. They surprised us in the first minute, but we were able to control the match. Playing here is something special,” he told reporters.
"I'm happy to be back and help the team; scoring, assisting, doing defensive work... I'm looking for my best physical version after the injury I've had.
“We are aware that we are not at our best version. But we are going to work to get there as soon as possible and we are convinced of what we do in order to end the year well."
