Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick details what to expect in the match against Inter.
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick spoke about how they intend to set up and what they expect from their opposition, Inter, in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final encounter.
The German tactician has revolutionised the Blaugrana way, and his young-ish Barcelona side are on course to win the treble. They beat Real Madrid recently to win the Copa del Rey, are leaders in LALIGA with four points, and are in the UCL semi-finals where they will face the Nerazzurri.

What Flick said
“We’re only focused on the first leg, and that’s the first leg of our objective. Inter will be very difficult; they’re one of the best defences in Europe,” Flick said in the pre-match press conference.
“They have a great midfield and the two strikers are very good. But also the transition they make is very dangerous. So they defend good, but also attack. We have to be ready.”
“What I can say is that all the players are focused and want to reach the final. The win against Madrid is important for our emotions and can help us keep pushing. I think we can reach the final. They’ll give it their all too.”
)
“The Champions League is a huge opportunity for Inter to win the title. It’s something completely different, and past matches and recent defeats don’t matter. Also for some of their players, it will be the last chance they have to win it, so they will give 100%. This is clear, and it’s what we have to do too.”
Meanwhile, Barcelona have reportedly reinitiated contact with Ademola Lookman's representatives to discuss the possibility of a summer transfer.
The 28-year-old forward has been in the market since last summer. Barcelona were also keen in the summer but were put off by the valuation. However, left-wing still remains a position they want to fix, and while they have interest in Luis Diaz, Nico Williams and Rafael Leao, Lookman's name remains on their shortlist.
