BUL FC has vowed not to play from Bugembe or Kakindu until the stadium management takes football as a priority.

BUL Football Club has vowed never to return to Jinja as long as the issue of stadium management at Bugembe and Kakindu is concerned.

The club’s chairman Ronald Barente has revealed that the team signed a memorandum of association with the management – Busoga Kingdom- of Kyabazinga Stadium up to 2024.

“The memorandum that we signed with them expires in 2024, but I will like to tell you that we might not go back to Bugembe,” Barente explains.

He adds: “The issues that made us leave have not been resolved yet, so we cannot keep investing in something that does not give us any returns.

The edible oil manufacturers signed the five-year contract in July 2020 to use the facility but left prematurely for Njeru.

FUFA had flagged the after a music concert left the playing surface in a sorry state.

“We invest hundreds of millions today [to maintain the pitch and facility], but then an event washes away all our efforts [in one instant]. We don’t want to invest money in projects that aren’t productive.”

The chairman also ruled out the option of shifting back to the Kakindu Stadium for similar reasons.
