The game in brief
Galatasaray dominated the match from the outset, and their relentless pressure paid off in the 26th minute when Victor Osimhen powered home a header past Deniz Ertas, giving his side a well-deserved lead.
The Istanbul side continued to assert their dominance, doubling their advantage before halftime through a clinical finish from Lucas Torreira.
The second half saw Osimhen continue to make his presence felt, setting up Sallai to score and put Galatasaray on the cusp of qualification.
Although Konyaspor's Pedrinho pulled one back before the hour mark, Galatasaray restored their four-goal cushion with two more strikes, courtesy of Sallai and Yusuf Demir, with Mertens providing the assist for the former.

Osimhen's reaction
Accompanying a picture of the Nigerian celebrating a goal against Konyaspor was a caption that read, “The guy she tells you not to worry about.”
A seemingly impressed Osimhen did not hide his amusement with the post, as he took to the comments, cheering the social media manager for the creativity. “Yo, admin, you deserve a cold beer or a very hot chai.”
Meanwhile, Osimhen has been the subject of many transfer speculations stretching back to more than a year now. The latest news about his future is a report stating that Real Madrid have entered the race for his signature and have no qualms about paying his €75 million release clause.
