Vitality Netball Nations Cup: She Cranes jet to Leeds, shift focus to World number one

Both games were held at the Wembley Ovo Arena, but the final Cup action has been taken to the First Direct Arena, Leeds.

The Uganda Netball team have shifted base from London to Leeds, where they will battle World number one ranked Australia on Saturday in their final game of the Vitality Netball Nations Cup.

The She Cranes have played and narrowly lost to both England and New Zealand, who positioned third and second globally, respectively.

Having battled hard but lost 62-56 to England on Saturday, they suffered another to New Zealand (65-60) despite contesting superbly on the day.

Sunday's display highlighted massive progress for the She Cranes, who held a 31-29 lead at halftime.

Both games were held at the Wembley Ovo Arena, but the final Cup action has been taken to the First Direct Arena, Leeds.

It should be noted that Uganda ranks seventh globally and third across Africa.

In the other Sunday action, Australia edged a hugely contested and entertaining encounter against England 61-59 at Wembley.

England has now won and lost one apiece, while Australia has picked successive victories.
