Salim Jamal has put up a stout defence for the victim, stressing he is too humble to get into a physical altercation with other people.

Uganda Cranes custodian Salim Jamal Magoola has defended his boon companion Derrick Ddungu alias Rickman Manrick over the latter's brawl with fellow musician Grenade Official.

Rickman was beaten at Laterrazo Bar, allegedly by Grenade and had his mouth wounded before getting hospitalised.

Salim Jamal has put up a stout defence for the victim, stressing he is too humble to get into a physical altercation with other people.

"Rickman Manrick is a humble brother, and I don't think he can be involved in violence," the Richards Bay goal-minder said on his Twitter handle.

The former Al Hilal Omdurman custodian has further rallied Uganda Police to make a swift arrest for Grenade to account for his actions.

"But if Grenade is still out there (and) not in the hands of Police, then something is wrong with our Police."

Meanwhile, Jamal has been a mainstay in the Uganda Cranes set-up in the recent past, featuring in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The 28-year-old has featured in all seven Premier Soccer League games for Richard Bay this season.
