Jamaican sprint sensation Kishane Thompson has sent shockwaves through the athletics world after clocking an astonishing 9.77 seconds in the 100m at the nation's Olympic trials.
The 22-year-old's remarkable time not only makes him the fourth-fastest Jamaican of all time but also the ninth-fastest man in the history of the sport - in just his second season as a professional!

Thompson's scorching display saw him comfortably win the national trials, blasting past the likes of Oblique Seville and Ackeem Blake, who finished second and third respectively.
The youngster may have hinted at what to come following his jaw-dropping Personal Best (PB) of 9.82s to win his heat race at the Jamaican Olympic Trials.
That blistering pace saw him finish ahead of Ackeem Blake, who clocked a Season's Best (SB) of 9.95s, while Sandrey Davison was third in 10.00s.
Thompson's stunning 9.77 seconds is the fastest in the world in two years and puts him in rarified air among the all-time greats of sprinting.
