Abdallah Mubiru lambasts 'childish' players, referees in KCCA defeat to Mbarara
KCCA FC head coach Abdallah Mubiru cut a frustrated figure after he suffered his second defeat in three matches since taking charge last month.
The tactician was left unhappy with both his players and the referees as KCCA lost 2-1 to Mbarara City FC at the Kakyeka Stadium on Wednesday.
He was particularly downcast with what he termed "childish" mistakes committed by his players on the evening.
"It's a painful loss as it was all about childish decisions that cost us; in conceding our first goal, the defender made a childish mistake," Mubiru said after the game.
Mubiru then expressed his disappointment with the day's refereeing, asserting that Mbarara's second goal should never have counted.
"At the same time, it was very evident that the player that scored the second goal (Henry Kitegenyi) was coming from an offside position."
.
"I was very surprised and shocked that the goal counted, but that's football," he added.
In the video shared on the KCCA YouTube channel, Mubiru appeared to send a solid and daunting message to the football authorities in the country, but it was cut short as he made his case.
"I only make one humble request to the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) and UPL; I know they're fond of ..." Mubiru went on the cut footage.
On the evening, Henry Musisi was the centre referee, while Ashraf Magoola and Mustapha Mafumu were the first and second assistants.
The defeat was KCCA's seventh of the season in just ten games, leaving them 14th on the 16-team table with seven points.
