Ademola Lookman: Super Eagles star outshines rivals with Agbada to 2024 CAF Awards

On Monday, December 16, Super Eagles of Nigeria star Ademola Lookman made a spectacular entrance at the 2024 CAF Awards at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco.

Lookman, whose parents are Nigerian was born and raised in England.

His family members accompanied him to the CAF Awards ceremony wearing traditional clothing known as Agbada.

From his headgear to every element of the regalia, Lookman made sure that the Nigerian national colors of green stood out in his outfit to the special occasion.

Ibrahim Musa Gusau, the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), was spotted shaking hands and chatting with the 27-year-old Nigerian international.

Super Falcons goalie Chiamaka Nnadozie, who is a nominee for both Goalie of the Year and CAF Women's Player of the Year is also at the event.

Unlike Lookman however, Nnadozie decided to wear a Western outfit rather than a traditional one.

Lookman's attire for the occasion has gone viral on social media ahead of the award ceremony.

The beads to match the regal outfit also ensured that he had a lot of input into his dressing.

This comes after Lookman suffered heavy criticism for his Western outfit choice for the Ballon d'Or Ceremony earlier this year alongside Rowen Williams and Didier Drogba.

Lookman also outshined his rivals for the African Player of the Year award as he was the only one to rock a traditional outfit.
