I Am So Happy - Fred Ambani
Speaking to Azam TV after the match, Ambani lauded his players’ discipline and commitment, emphasizing that patience and teamwork have been key to their early success.
“They executed all my instructions. I am happy. The boys are working well, and we are making progress,” Ambani said.
“Progress is important and if you are not patient, you will just be creating unnecessary pressure. 9 points is a fantastic achievement so far.”
Kinyanjui Has Elevated Us -Ambani
Kinyanjui’s influence has been felt beyond his goal contributions. The winger, who has represented Kenya five times in 2025, has added creativity and composure to Leopards’ attack, qualities that Ambani believes have been vital in transforming the team’s performances this season.
His dead ball deliveries, as well as his pace and one v one threat from wide positions have been extremely crucial.
“Kinyanjui was a crucial addition. Having a player like that in your squad is a blessing. Aside from scoring, he has been instrumental in bringing one or two things that have been crucial to us winning,” Ambani continued.
“I wish him luck for the rest of the season, but I must say everyone is also doing well and working hard — but really, he is a fantastic addition to the squad.”
The win over Mathare United extended Leopards’ strong start to the campaign, as goals from Kinyanjui and Victor Omune secured all three points at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Ambani’s side now sit just behind league leaders Gor Mahia and Tusker FC, maintaining their position as one of the few unbeaten teams in the division.
With momentum building and confidence high, Leopards will be eager to continue their fine run when they return to action next weekend.
