Al Nassr's Cristiano Ronaldo set for sensational return to Real Madrid
Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo could leave the Saudi Pro League just a few months after his multi-million dollars move to Al Nassr.
Ronaldo is reportedly ready to return to Spain for a sensational reunion with former side Real Madrid.
This much Pulse Sports Nigeria learnt from Spanish media outlet El Nacional on Monday afternoon.
Ronaldo is unhappy ay Al Nassr
The Portugal international is said to be unhappy at his current club Al Nassr as he struggles to adapt in Saudi Arabia and wants out amid interests from Real Madrid.
Ronaldo, 38, joined the club in the winter transfer window back in January as a free agent following his exit from English club Manchester United in November.
Manchester United and Ronaldo agreed to a mutual termination of his contract after he granted a bizarre interview with popular TV personality Piers Morgan.
In the viral interview, the former Juventus star blasted the club and manager, Erik Ten Hag, with whom he had disagreements leading to the eventual termination.
He joined Al Nassr, thereafter, after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in a move that cost the Saudi side a whopping $210 million.
Real Madrid want Ronald
With Ronaldo unhappy, the report noted that he could be set for a return to the LaLiga with Real Madrid.
However, Los Blancos’ plans for the club legend have nothing to do with the pitch as per club President, Florentino Perez.
“If the former Juventus of Turin and Sporting of Portugal ends up finally leaving the Al-Nassr, and returns to Spain, Florentino Pérez has guaranteed that he will not lack work at the Santiago Bernabéu,” wrote Nacional.
“But, obviously, he would not do it to be a player, because he considers that it is a cycle that should be considered closed.”
Ronaldo has scored 12 goals and assisted two in 12 matches this season for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
