Ighalo was on target for Al Wehda as they recorded a 1-1 draw away against Al-Qadisiyah on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Ighalo returned to the Al Wehda starting line up and justified his inclusion with the opening goal as early as the 29th minute.

Al-Qadisiyah would fight back and got the equalizer when Fernandez found Cameron Puertas in the 43rd minute.

The home team had a penalty overturned by VAR as the score was tied at the halftime break.

In the 50th minute, Gabon forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang found the back of the net for Al-Qadisiyah but was ruled out by VAR.

Ighalo was substituted for Jawad El Yamiq in the 66th minute as Al Wehda began to hold on for a point.

Aubameyang would finally come through with an assist for Puertas to score his second of the game in the 86th minute.

In the eighth minute of additional time Al-Qadisiyah grabbed their third of the game from Aubameyang assited by Puertas to seal the win

The goal by Ighalo was not enough to help Al Wehda seal a point as they continue their battle to avoid relegation.
