The defender could be facing a spell on the sidelines after sustaining an ankle injury during Werder Bremen's 1-0 home victory over FC St. Pauli.
The 26-year-old was substituted before halftime after Martijn Kaars landed awkwardly on his ankle during a challenge.
Agu, who is supposed to represent his national team, was seen leaving the stadium on crutches with his ankle heavily bandaged.

Update on Agu’s injury
Werder confirmed that a definitive diagnosis is still pending, though an ambulance was not required.
"Felix Agu, however, is still awaiting medical results. The Nigerian international threw himself into Martijn Kaars's shot attempt towards the end of the first half," the club stated on its official website.
"The St. Pauli player fell awkwardly on Agu's left ankle, and he subsequently had to be substituted. An MRI scan is scheduled for Monday."
Agu's consistent performance on the right flank since his return from injury makes his potential absence a significant blow for Bremen.
The club are currently awaiting the results of medical assessments to determine the full extent of the damage.
